On the anniversary of your passing each year, your wife, best friend and soulmate, never missed a dedication message to you. You were never forgotten, always missed by us.
Now back by your side in Heaven, leaving my heart, now broken in a million pieces.
I dedicate this verse to you, both as a spiritual/virtual award of the George Cross in peace time. A couple both together, individually, whilst under the radar of recognition, devoted your precious time and energy to assisting others in need, both human/animal beings without judgement. Always warm and pleasant with a big beautiful smile, helping hands.
A beacon of light, positivity in an otherwise challenging world.
Your intervention was purely selfless, voluntary service, delivered with genuine empathy whilst fighting/suffering your own debilitating illnesses in private, never complaining. A couple of resilient warriors in the face of adversity.
I am both proud and honoured to be your Daughter and part of this family, I will endeavour to continue to live on in your legacy.
